Doctor
Dr. Jeffrey E Nix Dr. Jeffrey Nix, Co-owner, graduated from Auburn University in 1989 with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. His main interest is surgery, especially orthopedics. When not at work, Dr. Nix exercises and plays the bagpipes. He has been married to Callie for 20 years and has 2 children, Kelsey and Chandler. Dr.Nix shares his home with 3 dogs, (Cleburne, Dallas, Laredo) 4 cats, {Betty Boop, Nala, Lady, Missy} and a bearded dragon. |

Dr. Sherle R Thompson Dr. Thompson, co-owner, graduated from Auburn University in 1997 with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. She joined the practice in August of 2000. She also owns an equine practice. When she is not at work, she enjoys gardening/yard work, home improvements and raising German shepherds. She also tries to get in some time throughout the year for horseback riding. She has 2 mares which have both foaled, so now any "spare time" she has will be used trying to raise the babies. She also has 4 cats, 12 dogs, 2 ponies, 2 mares, and now 2 foals. She is currently single at the time. |

Management
Nadia , Office Manager Nadia has lived in Dayton since 1997 with her husband Mike, son Nick, and stepdaughter Lindsay. She has always loved animals of all kinds, spending much of her childhood on a dairy farm in Vermont. The family pets have included, but are not limited to; cats, dogs, iguana, geese, turtles and snakes. Nadia feels blessed to work with such a great team here at SRAH, and is excited about becoming an active part of Rhea County. |

Callie Callie has been at South Rhea since 1995 working in every aspect of the Hospital. She is now the bookkeeper, and loves working with this brilliant staff and group of doctors. |

Technician
Allison Alison joined the practice in August of 1996. She has lived in Dayton all her life {24 years}. She recently got married in April 2003 and they now live in their own house. She has 4 dogs and 5 cats |

Charity

Charity has 3 dogs, a cat and a Beta fish. Her favorite animals are Zebras and monkeys. When it comes to what kind of dog she likes best she says "anything wrinkly like Shar-pei's, Bulldogs and Chinese Crested." |

Gretchen Gretchen Joined South Rhea Animal Hospital in May 2004. She has five pitbulls and one part Chow/Golden mix. She also has one horse whose name is Little Man. |

I have been at South Rhea since November 2003. My husband ,Randy,, and I share our home with sons jason, Mikey and Jay. We have four legged sons also; Toto, Scat. We also have four legged daughters; Roxie and Zoie, plus one bird,Sunny. I started in the kennel at South Rhea where I took care of the animals that were vacationing with us. Just recently, I have moved to receptionist where I welcome those animals back and reunite them with their parents when they are sent home. I really enjoy working at the clinic and hope that your animals enjoy coming there. |

Reception
Joy Joy joined the practice in April of 1999. When not at work, she enjoys reading and spending time with family and friends. She is married to Chase, has no children and shares her home with 1 dog, Delight, 5 cats, {Daisy, Coal, Lilly, Jack, and Camille} and 1 Iguana, Emerald. |

Jody I joined South Rhea in April 2004. I have a son named Blake, along with 7 dogs. I enjoy being outdoors when I am not at work. |
